Infertility Evaluation

Understand the cause. Find the right path forward.

Infertility evaluation investigates possible factors affecting conception in both partners. A stepwise, individualized assessment helps identify treatable conditions and guide decisions without assuming IVF is necessary. About Infertility Evaluation

When Should You Consult a Doctor?

  • You have tried for 12 months without conception
  • You are 35 or older and have tried for six months
  • Cycles are irregular
  • There are known male or female reproductive concerns.

Diagnosis & Treatment

The assessment begins with both partners’ histories. Depending on findings, tests may include semen analysis, ultrasound, ovulation assessment, selected hormones and fallopian tube evaluation. Treatment may range from addressing underlying conditions to ovulation induction, IUI or IVF when indicated. Your clinician will explain any recommended investigation or intervention, potential risks, alternatives, follow-up and expected limitations. Treatment is individualized and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
